ABOUT ME

“Here you leave today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy” – (Walt Disney). Hi and welcome to my page! My name is Jennifer and I’ve loved Disney my whole life. My mom brought me to Disneyland when I was around 5 years old and I remember riding the “Skyway” gondolas clutching my Cabbage Patch Doll in one hand as we passed right through the Matterhorn.

Although we couldn’t afford to go every year, the memories of Disneyland stuck with me and my childhood in the 80’s and 90’s were filled with endless hours of watching a bunch of Disney movies on VHS tapes like “The Little Mermaid”, “Beauty & the Beast”, “Mickey Mouse Club”, and listening to the Disneyland/Disneyworld album pretending we were on all those attractions.

I was born in Illinois, but grew up in the golden state of California, specifically the Bay Area. I now reside in Millbrae, CA (a city about 10 minutes from San Francisco) and I work full-time at a major airport. I love going to Disneyland and watching Disney movies with my son, Sean, and my husband Alvin. We also have a black & white cat we adopted named Pepper. In between being a busy mom, I love to play video games, figure ice skate, go to theme parks, water parks, blog, and go to new places with my family.

My travel goal is to eventually go to all Disney parks in the world and the Universal Parks since I’m also a Harry Potter fan. I also would LOVE to retire in the Orlando area to be close to the magic and would love to be able to just stroll in the parks for a couple of hours to grab a bite to eat, go shopping, or to ride a couple of attractions without all the stress of having to do everything in one day.

I created this page to share with you my love for all things Disney, theme parks, waterparks, resorts and fun adventures. I’m also a HUGE introvert so I want to share how introverts can navigate this busy world we live in whether it’s at at home, school, social settings, vacations and of course, theme parks! We introverts may sometimes be quiet as a mouse on the outside, but we have a rich inner world once we unleash our creativity which is why I absolutely love Disney: it celebrates creativity, fantasy, and innovation.

With this blog, I hope I can sprinkle a little bit of pixie dust and share a little of that Disney magic with you. Send me an e-mail if you’d like to connect at jenandthemouse@gmail.com
